About our courses

In close cooperation with the International Baccalaureate®, Pamoja Education is developing a wide range of online courses for the IB Diploma Programme.

All Diploma courses online are:

  • delivered over two years
  • developed and taught by experienced IB teachers, who have been specially trained in online pedagogy
  • subject to the IB’s rigorous online course approval standards
  • designed to ensure students master the curriculum and develop 21st century learning skills
  • offered in classes of 10 to 25 students – providing a highly interactive and truly international online IB experience.

The Business and Management SL course is designed to develop a student’s understanding of business theory, as well as the ability to apply business principles, practices and skills. more

The Economics SL course provides students with a core knowledge of economics and also incorporates elements of history, geography, psychology, sociology, political studies and other related fields of study. more

The Economics HL course has the same aims and covers the same topics as the SL course, but also features ‘extension topics’ that are studied exclusively by HL candidates. Extension topics are chosen from the areas of micro-, macro- and international economics. more

While not yet a confirmed offering for September 2010, Pamoja Education is investigating development of Environmental Systems and Societies SL. Schools interested in the course for this September or for future years are encouraged to contact us. more

The IB Diploma Programme (DP) information technology in a global society (ITGS) course is the study and evaluation of the impacts of information technology (IT) on individuals and society. It explores the advantages and disadvantages of the access and use of digitized information at the local and global level. ITGS provides a framework for the student to make informed judgments and decisions about the use of IT within contemporary social contexts. more

The ITGS HL course covers the same topics as the SL course, but has a higher number of teaching hours. In addition, students in the HL course will cover two extension topics not covered in the SL course: “IT systems in organisations” and “robotics, artificial intelligence and expert systems”. more

This course is intended for students with a strong background in mathematics who are competent in a range of analytical and technical skills. The majority of these students will be expecting to include mathematics as a major component of their university studies, either as a subject in its own right or within courses such as physics, engineering, technology or economics. Others may take this subject because, irrespective of their plans for further study, they have a strong interest in mathematics and enjoy meeting its challenges and engaging with its problems. more

Psychology is the systematic study of behaviour and mental processes. Psychology has its roots in both the natural and social sciences, leading to a variety of research designs and applications, and providing a unique approach to understanding modern society. more

This is a language acquisition course for students having little or no experience with the Spanish language. Learning a language is more than acquiring a certain vocabulary and understanding some grammatical rules. It means being able to interact in a new cultural context and hence function in a society different from your own. more
