Offer your students a greater choice of subjects and increased scheduling flexibility

Pamoja Education offers its courses exclusively through IB World Schools®, and will be increasing its offering to 11 two-year courses, covering five of the six IB subject groups, beginning in September 2012.

As an IB educator, you know the tremendous scope of the Diploma Programme curriculum, but you also know that schools have limited resources. Now there is a way to offer your students a greater choice of subjects and increased scheduling flexibility - while simultaneously helping them to develop new study skills.

Pamoja Education's online IB courses:

  • are taught by experienced IB Diploma teachers specially trained in online pedagogy
  • ensure students develop 21st century learning and collaboration skills
  • take place in "global classrooms", with high levels of student-teacher and student-student interaction
  • limit the number of students from the same school in a single course section (most courses have multiple sections) to promote a richer international and intercultural experience.

Quality assurance is of the utmost importance to you, to the IB, and to Pamoja Education. To that end, quality is maintained through:

  • a trained Site-based Coordinator on the school campus, who will support students and monitor progress
  • IB-approved training and professional development for all online teachers
  • strict adherence to IB subject guides
  • ongoing monitoring of course delivery by Pamoja Education and IB staff
  • annual third party evaluation of course quality and performance.

In addition to the testimonials, which can be accessed via the buttons to the right of the computer monitor (above), this page has a number of resources of particular interest to administrators and teachers at IB World Schools. These include:

We have designed a questionnaire to enable your students to develop a greater understanding for the experience of online learning and identify any obstacles they may encounter in this new environment. Asking students to complete this form will allow them to self-assess their strengths and to identify potential challenges that they can overcome in advance.
