Technology requirements

Pamoja Education courses are designed to take full advantage of the online environment. However, perhaps surprisingly, they do not require tremendous bandwidth. Students who are able to comfortably surf the Web should have no problem accessing course material and completing course assignments.

We do require that students have regular Internet access (at school and ordinarily at home). If students will need to do all of their online work at school, due to a lack of Internet access at home, this situation should be discussed with a Pamoja Education School Services Manager prior to enrolment.

Some of our students live in countries prone to power outages or Internet provider difficulties. As long as they are relatively infrequent and brief, such challenges can usually be overcome, but students will need to plan ahead – so that they can download appropriate material and (when necessary) do more of their preparatory work offline. Within reason, teachers will work with students to accommodate for local conditions. Schools with concerns regarding power and Internet reliability should contact a Pamoja Education School Services Manager for further advice.
